When I was a teenager (1960’s) I had a pet calf that I was raising. One night she escaped the electric fence. Three days later the police found her in a ditch, still alive after being hit by a car. My parents had her butchered and I still remember the horror of that first bite of veal. Couldn’t do it. You might as well have asked me to eat the family dog.

I recall a Denny’s ad in which Miss Piggy orders a dish that includes bacon. The makers defended the ad by saying that she’s not a real pig, but that wouldn’t have flown with Jim Henson himself. It certainly contradicts prior behavior on her part.

Um, Charligirl. Not to be picky, but cannibalism is by definition intraspecies. As in, the same.
