That’s an interesting thought. What would my life be without my doggie. Well, for one thing, I’d be a way better gardener. Since Ellie came, I’ve had to eliminate row crops in my garden. Ellie likes to roll around on small plants. Which means goodbye okra, bush beans, watermelons, squash, and my greens. But, still, with climate change, my production of veggies was off quite a bit, anyway, and Ellie is a real hoot playing with her bleach bottles.
True story. ‘bout 40 years or so, ago, I needed job history for a job I wanted. I was young and stupid- REALLY stupid- and put down I had worked for the Mundane Corporation. Couldn’t figure out why they never called.
Cats do impact your life if you give back to them. I miss my feral cats that I befriended, and enjoyed their company. Unfortunately the cars did not “miss” them, now they are gone.

But Garfield changed not only Jon’s life, but ours as well! Another thing to be thankful for!

How did Jon’s life change, he’s still most of those things. Although he does have pets.

Garfield has been into the synonyms again.

I imagine that if there was an 8th panel Garfield would say “…wait, what’s the difference to now?”

If, by sarcasm, you mean the truth, well, yeah!

There’s no place for me to have a vegetable garden, but my perennial garden is coming along nicely.

Jon used to be able to leave things on flat surfaces without them getting knocked off

This cartoon can’t be real. We never see Jon cleaning the litter box.

That’s just like Garfield to start going into a Hurricane of Euphemisms (with regards to TVTropes).
