if it’s supposed to be comedy then it’s not working as well as strangling ….

She’s really out, make sure she doesn’t swallow her tongue.

If Adam really does go back to an office (or other) job, and Laura stays home to write full-time, will the strip be re-titled from “Adam@Home” to “Adam@Work”? Or maybe to “Laura@Home”?

A rare moment of honesty! How does it taste, Adam?

Not a very supportive wife. But then again, we have become a wife-exalting-while-husband-bashing society in pop culture, and a female-exalting-while-male-bashing society in both pop culture and life, both cases evidenced by many of the comments here joining in the putting down of Adam.

Adam, getting a “real” job and allowing Laura to flourish will take the pressure off you. You might even get a brainstorm when there is no pressure to write.

But then you’d have to change the name of the comic to “Adam, NOT AT Home”.

If Adam is no longer @Home, I hope that doesn’t mean the comic is ending :(

Nope. Can’t happen. The strip is called Adam@Home.

Not gonna make it past “What are your qualifications?”.

There should be some comedic effect around here somewhere. :)

Well, Adam’s a big man-baby with no marketable skills, so what’s he gonna do?

A new name for the comic: Adam Gets Fired

That’s not as easy as it sounds. Especially if you have no marketable skills.

This makes no sense. Adam was the pioneer of working from home, and now half the country is doing it. He’s had countless contracts over the years; he’s not just a failed novelist. As a freelancer, he never left the workforce, so there’s no need to “rejoin” it. So as a plot development, it’s really dated.

A practical decision if I ever saw one. And the source of a lot of future humor.
