Not relevant to today’s strip, but I checked Dana’s Blue Sky (since she’s no longer on Twitter) and saw a post where she told someone that even though both Amazon and Nickelodeon dropped the P&HU animated series, they’ve started shipping it out again now that the strikes are over.
Marigold can’t deny that there is a real true love within her for Phoebe and she is not just a unicorn who puts herself above all other life.
she doesn’t consider Phoebe a weakling or anything because of her differences.
at least we know she would still love Phoebe no matter what she looked like or her physical characteristics.
Because the one thing Dana is very focused on is teaching acceptance and inclusion for all and that differences are actually what make us most beautiful.
Not just because Dana wants to show the world such acceptance and kindness but because unicorns are in fact supposed to be the ones who nurture and care for all life and the earth around them.
but a question is could Marigold really have become a dangerous narcissist without Phoebe’s friendship?.
become the unicorn who believed she had it all and everyone else would bow to her and she would reign over them.
Get it??…rein over them!.
would she become like the new MLP villain Opaline who believes herself to be well above all other ponies because she is an alicorn?.
or would Marigold hit a depressing point where she can’t be satisfied even by looking at herself and it drives her to madness.
at least Marigold is also not a totally destructive attention seeker where she is constantly seeking praise and recognition to make sure she is still number one.

Phoebe? Devious? Let’s put her to the test against a certain Class 08 shunter, and we’ll see who is truly devious!

Ahh. Shaping up to be the criminal mastermind.
Maybe pet her cat menacingly in the shadows. Dr. Claw or Giovanni/Sakaki style.

And I did it again just now with that last sentence you said.

I really hope the third time works out.

I feel like this outcome was more happenstance than a calculated plan by Phoebe. Put that in the song too.
