Deadline first, so he can continue making an income. Her insecurities will get a lot worse if both breadwinners… ain’t. Once that stress is off, he can give her the sympathy she needs.

I wonder if Nancy Pelosi felt the same way.

I thought this was about all the diplomats and federal attorneys who had to hand in their resignations in 2017

Never been laid off? Count yourself lucky.

The last time, I got home and the Honey knew, just by my face. No need to speak.

Retired now, that layoff pushed me into it.

Now, I get to play with my pals in the funny pages. }:-)

The same as you did Joanie, when you walked in. You had to see it coming.

FWIW, the vast majority of federal employees are civil service, hired for their specialized competence, not their political connections, and they just keep on keeping on whenever the White House experiences a change of party for its primary occupant. And a good thing, too! Political patronage has its place, but it doesn’t involve janitors, secretaries, foresters, surgeons, or space-launch specialists.

For some reason, most of the women of my long-term acquaintance seem to think a “crisis dump” is more important than food, water, air or paying attention while driving in traffic. (Nope, no smiley with this one)

He really needs to address the real question – how is the couch as a long-term alternative to “bed”…

While I sympathize with Joanie, she did submit a resignation, and she knew the incoming president was a vindictive little brat, so she should have seen it coming and had resumés out. And probably already had offers.

That’s exactly how I felt when I had been made redundant after 20 years of dedicated service.
