How did Hammie avoid getting blamed?

But those are the words I usually hear you say to Hammie!

My worst picture was 12th grade and the too short, although not this short, bangs was done by Mom. Then when you add in the teased crown and the teeny hair bow center front plus glasses….dork city!

Wren seems rather nonplussed about the matter. Hammie’s uncharacteristically innocent this time.

The grounding won’t last that long.

As was said on “Happy Days,” it’ll probably blow over by the time she’s thirty.

I’m jealous. When I cut my bangs as a child it came out like Wren’s. When my daughter did it, it came out great. (Granted, she hasn’t done it since, but still…)

Grounded for life is a little extreme. Hair grows back. Grounded till the hair grows to an appropriate length is better.

Hey, don’t forget Hammie! He did tried to help Zoe cover up her crime after all!

Maybe she is grounded for using the scissors.

I would say YEAH Zoe’s finally getting punished for something she did bad/wrong! But it’s Saturday, end of the arc, and we’ll never know if Wanda keeps her grounded for any length of time.

How about since she already knows she did wrong, and hair will grow back, she really doesn’t need to be punished.

Look at it this way, Wanda: Wren has had any fear of getting her hair cut nipped in the bud, so her first trip to the barber should go smoothly.

I got grounded by my wife when I gave our boy his first haircut – I was active duty and got tired of him with long shaggy hair – so I gave him the military cut. I was banned from cutting his hair – ever – again…

Chill, Wanda; the thing about hair is that it grows.

The only unrealistic thing about this is that Wren didn’t (as pretty much every kid does at some point) cut her own hair.

One of my twin granddaughters gave herself bangs a few months ago. Did the DIL freak? She did not; she just cleaned it up into a different ’do (and now even Nona can tell them apart……).

Cutting the hair was a poor choice. Putting sharp scissors near a little child’s face is very dangerous!

I’ve been cutting my own hair since I was 10, and I’m pretty good at it. My wife asked me to cut hers, and I made the same mistake as Zoe with her bangs, got them too short. She had to pay a hair stylist to get a professional short haircut to make all the rest of the hair match the bangs. It grew out again.

Wanda, how about until the bags even out???

But maybe it would be a “lifetime” in a child’s understanding of time…

So many lenient people. I would have been outraged that she took it upon herself to cut the baby’s hair. She should have known better. Take your punishment like a lady Zoe.

How do you ground a ten-year-old? It’s not like she goes anywhere if her parents don’t take her.

DO NOT make any threat or promise to a child unless you ARE going to follow through on it. You will NOT ground her for life!
