Snoops has opinion which many do to acquire property, but how many of the past have taken their property with them when they passed on to that Great Beyond past that thin veil which seprates mortal doggies from the immortals?
When this strip was first printed, owning bottom land was the thing. Everybody was building on bottom land, nearest the lake or river. Now, with climate change, that’s not such a good idea.
I live in the countryside on a small farm and wish I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say: “Some day, I’d like to get a home in the country and 5 acres!”
Snoopy has a plan ……. just like many of us have ……..However, it’s the execution of the plan ……….. that sometimes gets in the way of accomplishments ….. :)

Why don’t you start by getting a clue? But at the same time, Lucy, he’s a DOG. What should he better himself at, smelling butts?

You have to have property if you’re going to have a dog park.

That last line reminds me of the movie Sgt. York with Gary Cooper.

Snoopy has ambitions, he’s just not wanting to rush into them.

That’d be a lot of work Snoopy. I’d stick with your dog house.

Snoopy’s brother Spike has a real estate office . . . might help him get a good deal.

Snoopy better get flood insuance for his house on that bottom land.
jrankin1959 11 months ago
Well, I was going to say, “He’s a dog, Lucy,” but that thought balloon…

The reason it’s good land is because it floods periodically, and the silt fertilises the ground. He’d better make sure it has a hill for his house.

Snoopy and I are a lot alike. I retired after 35 years doing the same job I started after graduation, and loving it!

It can actually be a very good thing to finally reach a point where one is content with one’s lot in life.

I hope Snoopy doesn’t plan to build there. Bottomland is very flood-prone.

The problem with bottom land, it is the bottom of a river in the spring. That is the best farm land when dried out.
