It’s a different world. We get snow around once every fourteen years. It lasts about twenty minutes if we’re lucky.

One year it snowed and my mother was in the hospital. My father and I had Thanksgiving Dinner in the hospital’s cafeteria. It was a pretty good meal for 4 bucks!! She came home the next day. She had a bad reaction to a medicine for her cancer.

My dogs LOVE snow, sooooooooo I take them out every hour (their choice, not mine). They pee and then run around like squirrels on steroids for 20 minutes. I hate to admit it, but I like it when they do. Another hour and we do it all over again.

I love snow – shoveling it is good exercise but my Dr says don’t overdo it – a lot of folks who are not in shape suffer cardiac arrest and don’t make it. I have a snowblower for the heavy stuff and a tractor for the driveways and yard access points… Unfortunately, I haven’t even used my snow shovel in the last couple of years – too dry – Central Kansas close the Cheyenne Bottoms Wetlands

Hand them snow shovels and see how excited they get.

I used to get excited too. The more snow the better. Not so much enthusiasm now.

If I have no outside jobs to do, I enjoy watching it snow…but I’d like it more if it all melted off in a day or two!
