Love the last panel perspective

I mind the time I called someone a pusillanimous recreant. He didn’t know what it meant, but he got made anyway.

I know of a language teacher who trades dirty words in a foreign language to students who learn enough clean words in that language. Keeps them interested!

I say “pedantic” just to be pedantic.

I agree with what Frazz said. People that use the F word over and over are just lame.

We’ve got an entire language at our disposal. Use it up!

Frazz nailed it. Subtle suggestions sometimes out perform long explanations.

Frazz introduced me to “callipygian.” I still haven’t dared to say that to any woman … though I have thought it.

If you need to demonstrate to me how smart you are, I doubt you are. Quod erat demonstrandum.

And as Mrs. Olsen is illustrating here, words of praise also work best if you save them for just the right time.

Eschew obfuscation!

I like to combine them: “Obstreperous [bleep]!”

Is Frazz helping this kid, or just helping him mess with his teacher?

What’s a “dirty” word? It seems that Frazz’s vocabulary is also quite limited.

A popular chant during baskeball games when I was in high school went along the lines of, “Resist them, resist them, make them relinquish the spheroid.” Sounds a bit more high-brow than “STEAL THE BALL!”

A big word can take the place of several smaller words, but its usefulness is limited to those who already know what the big word means.
