An inflatable would pop in the vacuum of space unless it’s made of pretty strong stuff, like the two “Echo” metalized balloon satellites that were the first (passive) telecommunications satellites (1960 and 19640.
I hate the inflatables. Aside from using lots of energy to keep those fans going, they just don’t look nice. Worse, during the day, they lie limp on the lawn looking like so much trash.
A small pop can size bottle of compressed air would provide enough air to inflate and maintain a giant balloon character. There is no gravity to squeeze the air back out. A balloon pressure of a few thousandths of an atmosphere should do.

Well, obviously it’s from the Planet of the Inflatable Santa Elves.

If that elf causes any problems, they can launch Seattle’s Space Needle to deal with him.

I have a vague recollection of the “Now what?” punchline being a running gag in some old comic strip or even TV show…
