    It’s actually accurate. Bacteria do often share DNA snippets with one another. (Bacteria are not eukaryotes which have a nucleus protecting the DNA – the bacterial DNA is in the cytoplasm generally as a loop). This is how bacteria end up being antibiotic resistant, for example.
