Oh yes, the Pizza Pajama Cocoon. My favorite of the many food based pajama cocoons! Pepperoni, Peppers, Onions, Extra Cheese and a side of wake me when it’s springtime?!
I see the Woman is implementing the inch-worm maneuver. It may look effortless, but it requires significant core strength combined with malaise and ennui.♥
I think I may need a pizza pajama cocoon of my own. They are threatening us with high winds tonight. That’s the kryptonite for our electrical grid around here. That would be about my luck, I finally get my new stove, sometime today, and the power will go out. LOL Fingers crossed we don’t have any issues, or if we do they get it back on quickly.
Saturday in St. Louis, the temperature is supposed to plummet to 7’ F., and the high is not going to get above 20’ F. By Monday, the high temperature will be 12’ F.
I said to Marie, “Know what we’re going to do on Saturday?” She said, “No. What?” I said, “Nothing!”
Pizza being delivered sounds absolutely wonderful.
My daughter adopted a bonded pair from our local shelter! Meet Sir Ezekial McChicken (orange) and Mr Marty McFry (tabby). She fell in love with Marty then found out he had bonded with McChicken so she took both. They seem to be adjusting well and love snuggles. Anyone who remembers my Starlord’s shelter name was Chicken Nugget.
Update on Whitey: Last week I had to let Whitey join his sister, Junebug, and his mom, Mia. He crashed so quickly there was nothing I could do except keep him warm and loved while I tried to find an open vet’s office as mine was closed for a holiday vacation. It was a sobering time to watch the other cats tend to him, sleep with him and just keep him company. Even my dog was helping; one time sleeping with him, and another time washing his face gently.Whomever said cats are aloft and think only of their own needs was an idiot.
Mmmmm…pizza NOMNOMNOM…I’ve finally (more or less) emerged from my “vacation to recover from my vacation.” J & I had pizza delivered for dinner last night.
I am not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet or not, but I like how Georgia was able to just use a little computer magic (I assume at least) and alter the original date from yesterday and today’s strips from 1/18 to 1/8 and from 1/19 to 1/9. I wonder if she did something similar with the next ones, assuming she keeps on this storyline.
We are definitely getting our share of snow from winter storm Finn. Looked like it was letting up some mid morning but then it got a second wind and has erased the first snow plow run our overly optimistic plow team made. So I and our cat Finn are curled up with a fuzzy blanket in my recliner and the other two cats are curled around each other in the fuzzy (formally dog now cat) bed. I am about to join the group in just napping. Our lights just did a blink off and back on but the generator is still in “waiting to run”:status so it was just a hiccup.
I do wish comic strips wouldn’t have pizza in them. Now I want pizza, and it’s raining and nasty outside — I don’t do delivery as I have no patience. Plus, the best place near me doesn’t open until 4 p.m.
Please stay safe, everyone. From what I am hearing about everyone else’s weather, I am grateful for the rain. We are on the borderline between a lot of rain and a lot of snow, with the current temperatures just barely above freezing, so who knows what will happen tonight. I imagine there is ice on the bridges and other places, though.
Don’t think it is very serious but LucyLu has a vet visit this afternoon. She misstepped and fell off the kitchen table and now won’t use her left front paw. Prayers it is not serious.
Does anybody know what happened to a commenter who used the screen name @Strob and whose avatar was a face made of avocados for eyes and orange slices for the nose and mouth? I got a notification of an old reply from him/her and that made me realize it had been awhile since I’d seen that face. I did a check, and it’s been around 2 years.
It’s Dilly the Pickle Princess’s first birthday! Amazing to believe she’s been in our home for a year now. She’s still just a big silly kitten. I have a video of her taking her very first breath.

Food, especially salty or sweet food, does a pretty good job of allaying anxiety in me. Pity I’ve given up salt and sugar and bread products. (Sigh.)

Sounds good to me. Hubby will heat up a Hawaiian pizza with extra mushrooms and mozz. The faux mink throw is snuggly warm, and the cats love it.

I have to admire Puck’s professionalism: his paw is literally within striking distance of the pepperoni, but he’s got a job to do!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Thomios: Trevor-Hotep has announced the pizza trees are ready for harvest!
Burt-Ra: Time to get a group together to go to the Cosmo Nursery.
Sometime Later
Puckmosis: Who wants to harvest pizza?
Iggy: Me!
Iron Glove: Me!
Awhil-Fixit the Seventh (Wally): Me!
Puck: Alright! We’re all ready! Burt?
Burt-Ra: I think we’re all set. Kara and Vann are ready for another hump day.
Thomios: If you meet Amon-Merchant and Azibo along the way, see if they have any Italian spi… I mean seasonings.

I could go for pizza, but can’t afford it right now. I really need to get a few frozen pizzas and keep them for pizza emergencies.
