When we moved into our new house in the Okanagan, I wanted a tree to put in the front garden, near the house. As I wasn’t planning on staying in that house more than 2 years, I didn’t worry that the pine tree I bought might grow about a foot a year. Not only did we end up staying over twenty years, the dang thing grew two feet a year! Had to cut it down before it took over the house.

Of fir crying out loud!

And he bought a lot of female sheep that he’s keeping in a pen next to the house, so Happy Ewe Near, too!

I know about the singer Holly Near, but what does Yew Near do?

Doesn’t she mean “HAPPY YEW YEAR”?

I don’t know enough about yew. I want to get to know yew better.
