Many buzzards cross the road because that’s where the roadkill is.

When someone asks me how I’m doing, I like to reply with, “I’m feeling Ducky!”…meaning a little fowl….wacka wacka!!

    Poultry in motion:

Why did the chicken cross the road?

    To bock traffic…

Why did the chicken cross the road?

    I don’t know, why?

To get to the loser’s house. Knock, knock!

    Who’s there?

    The chicken!

An age old question, cows know the grass is greener on the other side of the fence so maybe chickens know the bugs are better on the other side of the road. Until we speak chicken it remains an open question.

Excluding Gaylord, vultures get a bad rap for being carrion eaters. Most birds of prey prefer a fresh kill waiting for the taking over attacking another animal and taking the chance of being maimed in the process. Eagles and Hawks prefer an easy meal. The vulture, hough, has the ability to devour rotting flesh with no ill effects so there’s no “Best eaten before” date on the carcass to worry about!

One of the best books I have read in the past year…“Why did the chicken cross the world”. The history of chickens. Okay, full disclosure, I have 30ish pet chickens.
