I once sent an email to a female coworker with many back-spacing and substituting text corrections. Instead of “I think it’s time!” it went as “I think it’s t!ts time.” Fortunately, our internal email app allowed deletion before the receiving person opened a message.
If you say positive things about the establishment person, then you are a hero. If you speak against the establishment, then you are the villain that needs to be cancelled.

back in the late 1990’s I working in an office where the secretary in the legal department hit the infamous "respond all’ on something she was sending to her sister. a joking script on the sexual desires of each astrological sign. I went by her desk, looked at her and said “so you’re a Scorpio?” she sank under her desk turning as red as her cinnamon colored hair.
To be fair,I later learned she lived up to the script.
Reviewing your text before sending it is always a good idea. I have read many invitations/announcements where the writer forgets to include the last name or the time or the location of an event. I figure that whichever "Bill"’ of my acquaintance is holding a New Years Eve party can do so without me and the museum fund-raiser will also go unattended because, while I can guess the location [the museum] and " the doors will open at 6:30", I don’t know the date.
The ubiquitous spell-checker has a warped sense of humor and can make surprising corrections. Also, when one is ‘emoting’, it is easy to forget to send enough actual content, for the reader to figure out what the emotion is all about.
Whether you are executed, jailed, awarded a medal, or honored with a statute for your actions depends on whether those actions are in line with the narrative of those in power at the time.
It’s easier to forget what happened if you aren’t constantly reminded of it. Devil’s Advocate. Mount Rushmore is probably pretty unpleasant for Native Americans, The Alamo probably upsets some Mexicans, lets bulldoze what is left from the detention camps for Japanese in WW2, we get rid of everything that might upset someone, there’s not going to be a whole lot left.
There are no heroes anymore. Just regular flawed humans who managed to do one good thing in the midst of their stumbling blindly from cradle to grave. Or does that make even more heroes out there?

No, this is a statue to ‘corporate heroism’.
And like most every other aspect of public life, it was funded by corporations, showcasing their values.

But if you double-checked yourself before sending for facts, Trump won’t retweet you.

Wiley makes the statue look like real gold with just three yellow colours and some black. That’s impressive.

A paean to caution. But one can still err in the composition thereof.

I do strongly decry the use of “hero” to describe every someone who merely looked out a window and then made a phone call.
