This strip is giving me heebie
Jeebies
But I’ll come along if you think you
Need me
Phoebe
The very first strip in the Ozy and Millie archives is all about Ozy being smug in the knowledge that his name is immune to childish rhyming insults.
Hear ye hear ye.
I hope some day you find "Lady not too humble not too vain, not very indifferent cares a little about some things really loves words that start with “M” and is also chill with short weird creatures"
Preposterous magnificent one!
I thought they were plant rhymes.
Cuz of the thing she said about trees? “Carboniferous”, or something? Whatever. Happy valentimes day.
Today’s New York Times Crossword. 14 across. Classic symbol of purity and grace. UNICORN.
The first two look like legitimate rhymes to me, and the third isn’t a slant rhyme, but an identical rhyme.
But I don’t care about that.
This strip just broke my thesaurus!
Tree bee? Probably?
When Phoebe grew up, she joined the NavyConstruction Battalion, yes, Phoebe’s a Seabee.
Does she care about having her vocabulary enlarged?
I’m surprised Marigold isn’t concerned about the Duchess’ REALLY beautiful mane.
From somewhere in Gilbert & Sullivan: “Phoebe??? Who in the deuce may SHE be?”
Other than squeegee.
C’mon DNI. She’s trying!
Why is Marigold attracted to her? Other than her resemblance to Princess Luna (minus the wings)…
But if love were logical, there’d be more of it…
Rhyming names can be a chore …
but the results are rarely a bore.
Rhyme on, Marigold—all day.
And we’ll just be on our way.
Fun one.
The worst rhyme I’ve ever heard was from a song called Move It Like This with the lyric:
Lydia oh Lydia/ I wish I didn’t get rid of you (rid o’ ya)
i feel like ive seen som dana simpson poetry popping up in some video game hackerspace writing recently… is that true??
