Divine intervention has won the coin flip. But pluralistic ignorance doesn’t believe it was fair. The coin flip was stolen!!!

Heads, it’s the beetle; tails, it’s the bespectacled bird.

(I see buildings, not a boot.)

I have often wondered if the multitude of Olympian gods were gradually generated for the purpose of moral instruction or entertainment or manipulation for political purposes.

Is superstition due to ignorance of causes of natural phenomena so widespread and ingrained in the human psyche that even educated persons had beliefs in divine interventions? And still do?

Something in our layered brains must tend toward belief in an Other that controls and guides us, if only dispassionately. Some may believe we exist in a Vivarium as small as our immediate neighborhood — or as large as the Cosmos. :/

I am definitely in favor of divine intervention if it will help to tame the forces of ignorance, which seem to be spreading unchecked throughout our world. If our species is meant to continue to exist and evolve (I believe it is), a little help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone posted a NASA photograph of a big black hole, or rather, a pink sphincter. One very like it may have produced a different sort of Big Bang. If it did, that explains a lot.

I remember having an “8 Ball” with silly futuristic revelations….

I remember being taught God will strike you dead if you commit a mortal sin….☹️talk about divine intervention….Oy vey!

If you could be aware of all the variables involved, you would easily predict the outcome of any coin flip, since true randomness is beyond the scope of this universe.

Our pasta, who art in a colander, draining be your noodles. Thy noodle come, Thy sauce be yum, on top some grated Parmesan. Give us this day, our garlic bread, …and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trample on our lawns. And lead us not into vegetarianism, but deliver us some pizza, for thine is the meatball, the noodle, and the sauce, forever and ever. R’amen.

Why are flightless birds always trying to look smart?

I know well that my question is today’s very lamest, but I feel up to my hips in the delusion that we call “today.” I see lots of actual and immanent imbalance in the ultimate balancing-out of energy and matter. It seems to me we’re playing in our little corner of a box, looking at illusory limits and liminal illusions.

I never did pay any attention to the man behind the curtain. You shouldn’t either. He’s not really there.
