And after the bafflement it morphs into complete bewilderment!

As Mark Twain apparently did NOT say: “When I was young it was amazing how ignorant my father was, but by the time I got out of university it was amazing how much the old man had learned.”

Dr Spaetzle is Speaking from experience!

Here in India we used to say, “Bachelor’s degree when we think we know everything, Masters when we realise we know nothing, and finally we get our PhD when we understand nobody knows anything!”

“Hire a teenager while they still know everything!”

I have some speakers with baffles. I wish more political speakers had them.

Between graduation and age 21, bafflement at the difference between what one was taught and what one experiences that was different is baffling. Adjusting to the changes is called ‘maturing,’ and it last until one’s train reaches its terminal.

Listen to him, Caulfield. He’s been through it.

As I head off to a Continuing Ed conference. After all, I’ve only been practicing for about 30 years.

School is not about knowledge, it’s about learning. If a school has made you into a knowledgeable person it did a good job. If it turned you into an avid learner it did an excellent job.

Puberty confuses everything.
