    I visited Pompeii back in the 1980s. Missed out on Herculaneum, though.

    They had a couple of good centuries. But you never know when to get out.

    During WW2 my uncle’s family in NJ felt they were too close to NY which might get targeted by enemy attacks, so moved to Aiken SC, which was shortly graced with the Savannah River Site, home of the deadliest nuclear weapons.
