At our Kroger owned shop, the self check stations do not have any signage about how many items you can purchase. Yet some of the stations have a counter that locks up the system if you go over 15 items. It’s a crapshoot to figure out which one will require “assistance” to pay and leave. Oy!!

recently was at a self checkout and I had bought a whole bunch of soup broth that came in really small packets, which you can scan super fast, using just one packet. There was like 20 of ‘em, and the gal that was attending to the self checkout area scolded me cuz you’re only supposed to have a max of 10 items for self checkout…

Shoulda shot him before he unloaded, now the cashier has to do extra work.

She has zero tolerance for this kinda thing.

The manager should also instruct her to use fewer rounds. Can you imagine if he told her to use “less rounds”?

Completely justified. Give her a bonus.

(Though, whoever wrote the sign needs to be castigated – items are discretely countable so it should be “fewer”, not "less.)

OK. Fess up. How many of you counted the items on the belt?

It should say “8 items or else”

every cashier should be so well equipped… ☺
