It’s funny because it’s true. Being isekai’d – sent to another world, via Truck-kun, Train-kun, Bus-kun, or Kami-sama – is such a huge genre in Japanese/Korean print and video fantasy. Most of it is wish fulfilment or power fantasy dreck, but as per Sturgeon’s law, 10% or so is still really, really worthwhile.

A slightly different take on the film “Heavy Metal”.

What Sarah needed was a world in which cats can protect people from dragons.

Must take into account the skills needed to survive.

You and me both, Sarah. I’m a HUGE Final Fantasy nerd, but I know that even with powers I’d be monster chow right quick.

Personally, I’d like to live in the Shire. A nice, simple life—maybe the occasional sojourn to Bree, but no further. No adventures!
