Poor substitute

I’ll bet the sub is himself an old prankster, the kind who won’t ger fooled again.

Kevin, when you court death every day, you can’t expect much of a lifespan. At some point, you’ll pick the wrong day, and Death will say “Be Mine.”

Do you boys really think that she hasn’t warned him about you two?

I’d say he was reading a warning note of whom to watch out for, but it’s only the one page.

This could go two or three or four ways: they could prank the sub for the rest of the week; Ms. Campbell left a warning and the sub “gets” Kev and Miles; Kev/Miles simply screw their prank up badly; the sub has a plan that gets Kev?Miles attention and admiration. . .any others????

This could go many ways, but its guaranteed NOT to go the way the kids expect it to!

Was it Carl Hiaasen that wrote a book that opens with all these people that were working jobs such as sewer workers etc that agreed that the man who was a substitute teacher had the worst job ever? Wish I could remember, it was a very well written opening paragraph.
