Several years ago I bought two belts, on black and one brown. The black one ended up getting used while the brown one was forgotten in the closet. Found it one day and decided it would go better with my outfit and I could’nt believe how much that poor little brown belt had shrunk hanging in the closet! Tru story!
I had never ordered a belt online, so when I did I measured one of my belts and bought that size. Turns out belt size is from the buckle to the second hole, not the total length. Fortunately, I have leather working tools and added four holes.
I’ve always been thin enough for my pants to be supported by my hip bones. Always considered belts nothing more than a superfluous piece of decoration mandated by the fashionistas.
I had not been keeping track of my weight and one day noticed I was having trouble breathing while bending over to tie my shoes. I had gone over 200 pounds! After losing eight pounds in the last three months, I find I can tie my shoes without snorting like a rhinoceros.
Yep, that’s me. I have only thick leather belts. I do have mid-length as well – which now fit. Short ones are almost there. Need to stretch them just a bit more. LOL

Those shrinking belts are a good reason for pluggers to switch to suspenders.

He can save them for his twilight years, when he’s wasting away from cancer!

All my stuff has elastic in the waist, so I don’t need belts.

If he continues gaining weight, he could connect 2 of them end to end…
