What’s the snow critter they’re creating?

I thought that winter break was between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Winter break? When did that start? We had nothing between Christmas and Easter except a couple single days off.

You would think that a teacher— nah, never mind.

Besides, just think of the exercise she will get.

WHO IS THAT WOMAN? … and what has she done with Mrs. Olson??!

Tomorrow should be fun!

You’d think she’d have her holidays marked up WAY we’ll in advance!

When I moved to Massachusetts in my teens, I was surprised to discover the schools had a winter break. Or as they referred to it, “ski week”.

You are now aware that in Alabama, they call it “Washington and Jefferson’s Birthday.” Even though Jefferson’s birthday is in April. So you don’t make the mistake of thinking they might be honoring Lincoln.

Sufficient unto the week is the evil thereof.

It’s got 8 legs. It’s a spider!

I did that once when the school was closed due to snow.

No teacher would forget a week’s break.

Trust me, teachers KNOW when they don’t have to go in.

Oh yeah, that’s the one before spring break.

Winter is an easier season on comic-strip colorists.

It was originally Washington’s Birthday observed on February 22, then it became a Monday holiday, & now it’s President’s Day. Both were/are Federal holidays but for us it was school as usual.

If Mrs Olsen is walking now, how can she forget her coffee on top of her car?

No teacher EVER forgets the days off. 32 year retired wood shop teacher.

Why is anything closed today?

I live where two newspapers didn’t print! Shameful!
