Probably because they don’t have a fashion sense.

    And I love the artwork.

If lampreys attach themselves to a stoner who likes to swim, will the result be high eels?

Now, ladies, there’s no need to get all eely-feely. Let’s just lamp and prey.

Who knew the Butterick Sewing Pattern models knew so much aquatic zoology? I didn’t.

Also, it looks like they’re sharing a pair of earrings.

I’d need an hour or two to sub-google all the terms necessary to understand this creature. So much complicated verbiage! Makes me want to rewrite my creator bio.

I’ve always believed that lampreys are totally misunderstood and make Lovely Pets. Course you have to feed them, but once they are attached they pretty much feed themselves.

Fun Historical Tidbit for the day: Rich Roman Vedius Pollio, pal of Augustus Caesar, kept a pool full of moray eels he used to throw his slaves into. He liked to watch the hapless slaves being ripped apart by the eels in a matter of minutes. He did this a lot!

Slimy behavior but not illegal according to Roman Law because – “cüm in servum omnia liceant” (“all things are allowed to be done to a slave”).
