Poor Brutus. He has to contend as I expect all of us have at one time or another a completely self-absorbed boss who is a legend in his or her own mind and narcissistic enough to play a fanfare like Hail to the Chief.
It’s a twofer but everyone there knows who the REAL president is and it’s not the man on the face of the currency but the MAN that signs that paycheck, and don’t you ever forget. “Hail to the Chief”……
I remember when we celebrated Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays in school. Then Federal workers wanted another 3 day holiday weekend and it became Presidents Day on Mondays. Now we honor the bad ones with the good. That’s a long way to including Veeblefester as a bad one in his tribute. He’d be pleased with that.
Possibly apocryphal story: ‘Hail to the Chief’ became a regular thing for President Polk — his wife Sarah supposedly asked it to be played whenever the President entered the room so he would be noticed. Polk was only 5’6"
They’re working on Presidents Day, a federal holiday? Well, since they work for Veeblefester, I shouldn’t be surprised.
And while I’m sure Brutus has his moments of insight, I’ll bet that 10 minutes ago he and Vebblefester had virtually the same conversation. You can hear Brutus doing his coworker’s dialog and Veeblefester getting the punchline.

I’m sure all of Rancid’s employees would like to give him a resounding performance of “Hailstone to the Chief”

Best to be nice to people on the way up the corporate ladder, for if you’re not, it’s a very bumpy way down!
I’ve never met a boss who didn’t hail himself…..☹️

If the national anthem is “Hail to the Chief”, does that mean that all US Presidents are dictators? They used to say “Hail Hitler” and “Hail Caesar”

Meanwhile most of the employees are replacing ‘hail’ with ‘hell’.

Hail to the Chief…because Hail to the Veeblefester doesn’t sound quite right.
