Translation: “Having an old buddy for lunch.”
Garfield how could you ! That bird was adorable !
Whoever draws this these days really did a great job on the bird . Great design.
Garfield really mastered the art of manipulation.
I have a red bird, sparrow size. Only ever seen one. We don’t have colorful birds here, Central FL. I usually see black birds, vultures, owls, occasional hawks, never an eagle, only the baby in their nests
Ever seen a red breasted grosbeak? I saw one once in a rain storm at my feeder. My favorite bird. Never seen another :( I live in FL too.
Bad ol’ puddy tat!
Beware the crocodile smile……
Hay, my cat plays with it’s food too.
Good reason for no cats.
The cat that can’t stand the thought of eating a rodent is the same on that actively goes after birds. I applaud his tactics to get his target.
Garfield!
All that complementing to eat the bird yet the mouse is still in the house
The early bird may get the worm but it’s the fat cat that gets the bird.
The cute bird, second in lovely character after Squeak!
His funeral lunch eh. Little birdie rest in pieces.
Garfield probably ate a relative of his old buddy in a similar manner.
For some reason I was reminded of insurance salesmen, who love to compliment you before they move in for the kill.
I can’t remember the last time ol Garf actually CAUGHT a bird!
And yet, Garfield will not eat mice!
Garfield would make a great telemarketer.
It looks like the Bluebird of Happiness made Garfield happy
A Reminder to all: Don’t talk with your mouth full.
[Your food might escape from your mouth.]
Don’t like this one. I keep my cats in the house. There are lots of birds here, and I want to keep it that way.
Kind of a gross one today. I know it’s only a cartoon strip but still.
Garfield! You didn’t!
Bird, you are terribly naive!
I’m having an old friend for dinner-Hannibal Lector.
It’s been a while since Garfield has eaten a bird. Good for him, going back to his roots.
Ummmm… no. The Count would have much preferred “Old Buddy” was a donut or pan of lasagna.
That ol buddy look like he gained a few pounds
That bird must be relatively new to the area that he fell for that
Nuh-uh Garfield. Shame on you.
That went dark quickly!
(senses sinisterness in this cartoon)
Just as said Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.
Not meaning to be ugly, but this is why domestic cats are considered invasive species. Doesn’t mean I don’t still love mine.
A bird In the mouth is worth more than 2 …oh never mind
Now imagine what would happen if Garfield actually tried to eat Tweety.
The bird needed fly away once Garfield showed up.
And we all thought that Stupid was stupid ….
Garfield Arbuckle!! Shame on you!!
Garf won’t eat mice, but birds, fish and small woodland creatures are still on the menu.
Awful……
Feel bad for poor birdie
Not cool, Garfield. Not cool, Jim. Do not like.
Kill that cat. This is why neither of my two cats have been allowed outside. I love birds and other small wildlife.
A cat will always be a cat.
Inquires the man with Columbian coffee beans in a lacquer mug …
Nothing like a cold-blooded hot meal with an “Old Friend”!
