It’s March 1st. Time to flip those calendar pages. I had to switch out the 2018 BCN calendar for the 2019 one so March would start on the right day. There’s a page full of “Happy Little Leprechauns,” (cats and kids in costumes) though Lupin seems to be the only one in the bunch who is happy.

On the new 2024 calendar, we find Ora Zella tackling Seamus while Granny Bitty comforts Iggy who is looking a bit greenish.

Georgia is a master – Lupin in panel one is rendered fairly simplistically yet so expressively (big, closed-mouth smile, paw-covered mouth, wide eyes) – that you have no trouble reading his emotions and thoughts.

OT: Some happy news. My sister became a great-grandmother yesterday and now I’m a great great aunt. Baby boy named Samuel. Mom and baby are doing well.

It is March BCN’s anniversary month, both of its beginning and its move to newspapers. March 12 is BCN’s 10 year anniversary. Georgia mentioned a while back that she is trying to come up with some things to celebrate the anniversary. I think it would be cool on the 12th for everyone to share their favorite strips, or maybe for the whole weeks since I know we all have a lot of favorites.

Anybody else wondering why they had a set of antlers available?

I laughed too loudly at the image I got of Elvis losing it, and flipping the bureau over.

heehee that was one of my favorite scenes as a kid.

I think this is an ideal pose for the commemorative “Elvis Stamp” (suitable for framing…)

The fact they were actually gonna do it makes this even funnier.

I avoided the Disney movie (never did like the sickly sweet stories) and only skimmed the Pooh books. I am a victim of learning to read very early and I graduated to adult books by age 7 or 8. Now, in my old age, I am entering my second childhood, so I’m going back and reading things I missed the first go round.

Cats HATE being “dressed up”, even if it is only their butts.

Why doesn’t someone just touch Elvis’s tail? That would get him moving!

I want to see Elvis flip that bureau.

That deserves waaaaaay more than the one Like I can officially give!
