All I have had here has been rain. No snow at all this Winter. Fingers crossed and knocking on wood. One year though, just after I had planted peppers and tomatoes, I looked out my backdoor and thought it looked like it could snow. It did, within 3 hours. Luckily I had purchased enough Wall-o-Waters® to cover them all. This was during the first week of April, mind you!

“In like a lamb out like a lion”. That’s the way it is shaping up here.

I got to X-Country ski yesterday, only the 4th time all winter :-)

We got a whopping 4.5" Friday night, and that was the biggest accumulation we had all winter. We’ve had two, very disappointing winters in a row. For context, this area averages 8 days per month in Jan, Feb, & Mar with 5+" of snow on the ground. This winter, we haven’t had a single day with that much snow cover.

Yep, on the south coast of Spain you can tell it´s Easter without looking at the calendar, it´s going to rain all week. Plus there are processions with extremely disturbing costumes!

I guess this is the reason why March is described as “In like a lion, out like a lamb”.

As I sit here reading this, snowflakes are swirling around in the wind outside my window. I don’t ‘think’ they will settle down and stick around for awile. We will see!

I could make a comment about “a cat sitting on your face”, but I won’t. But I really want to.

The traditional axiom is “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.”

As the air heats up after Winter, a lot of weather has to be moved around, which results in the “lion” winds. After things settle down, plants start blooming and the weather lambs around in the green fields.

Just as soon you put on your Spring Jacket, you will need your Winter Coat. Just as soon as you put on your Winter Coat, you will need your Summer Sandals, Oops, Snowflakes are fallen.

Spring is like “here is a preview of everything everywhere all at once” =3
