90% of plastic “recycling” ends up in land fills or incinerators. Plastic is really difficult to recycle and not at all economically worthwhile.

The nanoparticles in the water you’re drinking are in there so the nanoparticles you inhale when you breathe don’t get lonely.

    240,000 ? wow, almost a brazilionth of a gram.

Then there’s the people that get excited over “Plastic Precursers”. Plastic is made from things like polymerized ethelene. So, ripening fruit fills the air with plastic precursers.

Well since plastic lasts forever, us humans in the future will live forever too! Except for those High School girls, called the plastics they will be hit by a bus. >

After worrying about our civilization ending in nuclear war, worldwide famine, pandemic or radical climate change, it would be a sad note if ours ended because we “plastic-ed” ourselves to death.

Everything is inert or active. If it is inert, it doesn’t affect anything. If it is active, it will change into something else….which will be inert or active.

For a bit of perspective, those 240,000 nanoparticles weigh less than one one-hundredths the weight of a grain of sand.

Some people have already started doing that.

Instead of a Casket, they wrap you up in a blanket, drop the body into a Hole and plant a Tree on top of you.

If you are lucky, they don’t chop your tree down and cut it into 2×4s until after your last Grandchild is gone.

Although, it is more likely they will keep track of visitors to your tree and resell your hole in the ground as soon as they are sure there won’t be any more visitors. It’s what several graveyard corporations have already been caught doing with Tombstone burials.
