Prior to yesterday where Heart displays some bosom Heart has been drawn as flat as a boy. Puberty caught up with her with a bang.

I had an inkling this was what was going to happen.. granted I thought it was just a training bra period and not a replacement training bra. I would like to stop saying training bra now.

My grandma took me into a bra store when I was 14, it was so awkward. The old women were measuring me and I felt uncomfortable. I tried to explain this to my grandmother after the fact, but she believed that I was being ungrateful. I picked out and brought my own bras ever since.

Is surprise bra shopping really a thing? I’m finding that a bit hard to believe.

If you think that is bad. What about when the man (*there is no one else) in in the family takes a girl in and hands her over to the sales woman?

Relax, Heart; Peg knows her bras.

Now, there’s a strip Mark Tatulli would never have done.

But… this is what they’re in training for!

Heart, as mortifying as this is, it pales in comparison to having every grown woman in your life bringing up your obvious need for support at random times as you go through your days. Go along with your mom’s plan now!

Oddly this was the subject of a recent arc over in 9CL. I wonder if it will be handled with the same sensitivity that Brooke used in that strip. /s
