Complete, unvarnished, honesty is almost always just plain rude, and would NEVER fly in politics.

When we can handle the truth we may be ready to handle complete transparency.

Speaking of transparency, anyone see John Cena at the Oscars last night?

Even The Invisible Man wasn’t completely transparent having just eaten. And his eyes shouldn’t have functioned in a normal manner, anyway.

I want complete transparency solely becauze I think it would encourage politicians to change their behaviour in order to avoid being judged. If they didn’t change their behaviour and were just honest about what they’re doing now, I’d probably find myself wishing I’d been more specific.

Transparency & liberty are a direct threat to national security, so nationalism needs kings. It’s been alleged that “God” told “Saul” that we need morals, not kings (I think implying no gods either). Whoever started it, just stop it & play nice.

Attention is the most valuable currency of the 21st century. It has made a family who created and distributed a sex tape multi-millionaires and an easy to spot liar, grifter, coward, fraud and corrupt, unfit, incompetent Russian dupe president. Any attention outside of pedophilia can be turned into cash. Yes, OJs memorabilia prices went up.

The problem is we spend that currency on stupid people and trivial things.

Stupid people are entertaining ; smart people are boring. Rumor and innuendo are entertaining; facts are boring. Pictures and tears are entertaining; scientific instruction is boring.

What was that book about amusing ourselves to death?

Too many people pick a politician they THINK, “Tells it like it is”, when that politician is really telling them what they want to hear,

Lack of relevance is a big deal as you get older, so I’m told – not that I’d know, of course, since I’m only 77.
