Taking about a vision of a movie becoming a reality, I just finished reading Surely You Can’t Be Serious, a 2023 book about the envisioning and subsequent making of the funniest movie in history, Airplane!. The book itself is laden with similar laffs. And the co-authors (and co-writers, -directors, and -producers of the movie itself), Jerry and David Zucker and Jim Abrahams, are not only side-splittingly hilarious, they are also kind and generous and appreciative of everyone they worked with. Highly recommended.
