Potty training can be difficult at times. When my oldest was 3, we tried potty training, she started out pretty good, until I put big girl panties on her and while she was outside, well let’s just say she was soaking wet. My second child did so much better. I guess she wanted to be like her big sister.
My daughter made me read her the Little Golden Book of Disney’s Three Little Pigs. And I had to do different character’s voices which included fluttering my jowls while saying “Bloooow your house down”. It took me a little while, but I finally figured out she was timing her bowel movement to coincide with the book’s ending. Clever girl.
Oldest daughter wanted to use the toilet without the training seat. I heard this cry of help , help and found her up to her ankles and armpits in the toilet. I had to rescue her first, then we both had a good laugh.
Oh lighten up Zoe. You learned a valuable lesson. Always check to see if the seat is down. It’s just as much your responsibility as it is anyone else’s.

Our then three year old was so proud that he could go wee wee like a big boy, just like daddy. He was “just” tall enough and oh so proud.
Until the great lid slam of ‘87………
Yup, regression and back to diapers for months.

I loved every step of parenting…except potty training. To be honest, I don’t even remember most of it. I think the trauma blocked it. LOL

Why would Zoe be mad about that? Oh wait does Zoe ever have a reason?

I like how Zoe cuts off Darryl right before he says a date, so it’s not necessary to acknowledge how weird the timetable of this strip is.
