It’s possible, of course, that Loca is lashing out against her own pain and that the Parkers can reach her in time to rescue her. It is also possible, unfortunately, that Loca is already too badly damaged and will keep lashing out until she brings the Parker family down to her level of misery. The question is: is art going to find its way to the light, or is art going to imitate real life events in the Steel household?
Okay, fingers crossed. This may well be not as it seems. It would hardly be the first time school authorities got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Loca looks as if she’s in “think what you like, I don’t care” mode. I hope Alex can suppress his betrayed feelings and get through to her to find out what’s going on. He’s a great dad, but she’s a very different character from AJ.
