I sharpen our pencils outside. Or at least over the shop trash can.

Probably not smart Earl!

Don’t forget forget the bandage for when you cut your finger.

Blow the savings all over Opal’s clean carpets.

Earl must have been a wood whittler in the past.

Uh-oh, Earl’s gonna be in trouble again!

Not as bad as tobacco chewers!

The mess that Grandma will be cleaning up.

This is how I dust my furniture. LOL

Earl might have been a carpenter and used to doing that. When I was little, I watched my uncle Joe sharpen his flat marking pencils that way. He also wore an apron that hung below his protruding belly.

“Making Grandma mad is just one of the extra joys in the process, Nelson.”

On the construction site, we always use a knife

Go get a broom Earl and clean up your mess.

And when Opal tips your chair over backwards.

We have an electric sharpener. Fun to use but a mess to empty.

Grampa’s in good shape if can still whoo the shavings.

We can only hope “she who must be obeyed” is taking the pictures.

Surprised he still has that much wind left.

That’s the way my Grandfather sharpened pencils and he never cut a finger.
