In trying to find a bit more info on this painting, there was a painting of Elisabeth Scholz who looked a lot like the model in this one. Wife? I hope it’s neither his sister, or God forbid, his mother.
(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found and once there find the text string 3,467, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed using the Google Chrome browser, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary) about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting, along with the museum’s Description. File history has strip coloration image.
Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3297 (April 2, 2024) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to the info about this artist I used to point to here. Only work by him used here so far.
The hair style reminds me of a nursery rhyme: There was a little girl, Who had a little curl, Right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, She was very, very good, But when she was bad, she was horrid.

/// “Female Nude (seated) with Plaster Head”
Some translations will say “Bust” instead.
Each an obvious joke.
Did the painter provoke
the poor model with puns ‘til she fled?

Ok, now I understand why she has such poor posture.

It’s nice that the artist gave the model a cushion to sit on, so she doesn’t get splinters from that old wooden desk.

Jane was unhappy with the artist’s portrayal of her, so she decided to protest, and do a sit in.

The comments wouldn’t be complete without the line from Naked Gun:
" Is this some kind of bust?"
“Well… it’s very impressive, yes, but…”

Ironically (I guess that’s the proper word) she arrived for the sitting dressed in bib overalls with the “Can’t Bust ‘Em” label.
