I might be able to Teach Children to Save……But What? No one has much money around here. We’re in a very depressed area. Anyway, I started back substitute teaching at the local junior/senior high school yesterday. I had stopped before Covid and hadn’t been there for four years. I can use the extra cash, but I really need the social interactions for better mental health. The teachers all respect me and I get along well with the kids. Lucky for me, it’s a relatively small school and well managed.
Annie’s tears aren’t showing, but we can be sure they are there, I had my own disappointing note yesterday, the insensitive rescuer sent me an email full of exclamation marks and hearts that Murphy got adopted. She knew how much I wanted him, and I knew it was possible someone else was interested, but…so rude. At least he hit it off immediately with the woman’s other dog.
On one hand, calling the service subpar and the staff inadequate is very rude. (Annie’s doing the best she can.) On the other hand, it was nice of Lily to wish them well and invite them over for tea and cucumber sandwiches. (Still hope she comes back.) On another note, saw three robins, two deer, four chickadees, a rabbit, and two juncos while out walking today.

What? Service subpar? Staff inadequate? Annie is nothing short of fantastic! This sounds more like Chesney’s work, not Lily’s.

Come back, Lily. We already miss you. Don’t make Annie cry.

Not a big loss, I’d say. But Annie wouldn’t. Now to figure out where Lily went, and why!
