But there’s only so much they can show actors doing on a boat or any vehicle for that matter. You’ll see driving scenes and flying scenes that show them supposedly in the driver’s seat and the passenger seats and the cockpits, but they can’t fit an entire filming camera crew inside an automobile or the cockpit of an airplane for up close shots.

Did the Japanese copy those crabs on purpose when they made the samurai masks?

One time I was 32 percent.

May the Lord be with you as He is with me.

The other day I asked my buddy Fred if he liked seafood…

Fred answered that as a matter of fact, he did.

I then suggested he should go see Mary, just a ways up the street, cuz I hear she’s got crabs….

No sense of humor Fred was not amused.

Which came first? The Heikegani crab or the samurai? My money’s on the crab. There’s an interesting article on Wikipedia regarding this.

Jaws was the first film shot on the ocean. What about one of the earlier Titanics, or Sink The Bismark, or In Harms Way?

In Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, he talked about the samurai face on the back of the crab, saying the Japanese unintentionally created selection pressure that caused the crab’s back to evolve to look more like a scowling samurai. But, Sagan might have been mistaken: Humans don’t eat heikegani crabs.

Olympic ski jumpers reach about 60 mph before they hit the end of the jump ramp.

Olympic downhill racers typically hit 60-70 mph, but have been recorded as fast as 100 mph ( at the 2024 Olympics)

The world record for speed downhill racing is 158.760 mph, which is faster than you can fall through the air. Terminal velocity is about 125 mph, in the classic skydiving pose of belly down and arms and legs out.

Perhaps the Samurai mask resembles the Heikegani crab shell?
