Around here it’s the thousands of Russian olive trees and that sickly sweet smell they produce. The only remedy for it is waiting for a heavy rain to wash it all away.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve had less and less need for tissues as the allergies have subsided. When I was younger, I was allergic to just about everything but would only suffer a little. Now, that I’m older, I’m allergic to only a few things, but can die from anyone of them.
I notice one box is open. Must’ve been a rough drive home. She should stock up on the Zyrtec too. Or Claritin, Allegra, whatever. Works wonders for me. Plus, easier on the landfills
I can relate! I order 8 family-size boxes of Puffs Plus every month and I live alone. I have boxes in my kitchen, each bathroom, my desk, and by the couch. My nose constantly runs. I take allergy meds and use a nasal spray. Thankfully, my nose isn’t raw. Puffs Plus works!
Around here, allergy season starts in February. We’re just about done with “everyone drives a yellow car” season, but that doesn’t hit allergies as hard. Almost time for summer allergies and then October and fall allergies. January is about the only time it doesn’t hit so hard.
With the allergies I have, I don’t need tissues, but I need lots of cough medicine. My savior med is called “Tessalon Perles,” by prescription only. One of those little gems stops my coughing almost immediately.
A coworker brought in a really bad cold instead of using sick days, add allergies to that and I went through 3 boxes of tissues plus 2 rolls of toilet paper used as tissues when I ran out of the real thing in less than a week
I thought I didn’t have any allergies, but recently found out that I have an allergy in one eye. Just one. No need for extra tissues, I just have to put drops in it. No testing needed. Allergy shots work well from the people I know that have had them. I know someone who had a mold allergy so bad it resulted in permanent scar tissue in the sinus cavities. One year of weekly shots, and the allergy is gone. Shots will continue for a bit, but mold season came and went with no problems. It’s not me, but I would get the shots if I had an allergy that made me miserable.

They’d come good for my sinusitis. I’d must stock up on tissue until the call for surgery.

No matter what season, I also stock up.

Mine are a lot less severe now that I take prescription allergy medicine.

Tissue dependency is a serious problem in this country and I think that Dr. Biden should start a new campaign of “Just say Blow”

Runny, stuffy noses are the norm for my wife and myself. Allergy season for us, here, is a year round issue.

Poor Brutus, not only do Veeblefester and Mother Gargle chafe him raw; now he’ll have a sore nose from blowing it all the time.
