I… did not see this coming. And i’m HOPING he means he broke up with her before he got together with Nichole and ont just before he proposed, otherwise his marriage is in danger.
She has a song about him, explaining why he’s a jerk. She has a song about all her ex-boyfriends… You know, after five or six breakups maybe you ought to wonder if you’re the jerk rather than your former significant other.
This should be … interesting. Has he told Nicole? If not, how will she react when he tells her? Will she think he just wants to see his famous, talented former girlfriend?
cue the dark ambient music with discordant overtones which, although broadly tonal, is inflected with chromatic and polytonal passages representing the archetypal example of a florid, melodramatic style without being interpreted as an overly heavy-handed metaphor within the context of the thematic material a bit on the frenetic and frantic side with interesting rhythmic devices which seem to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor utilizing a novel imaging technique known as positron emission tomography and the spontaneous nondenominational conceptions by expansively recontextualizing liminal narratives of colonic hydrotherapy
Oh, this is fantastic! Topical, yet different, and it makes perfect sense within its own universe. The relationships and stories in JumpStart are rich and tangled and interesting. In this respect I am reminded of the Doonesbury universe. (An important difference, to me at least, is that JumpStart has a mostly happy, mostly sensible family at its center.)

He should not have mentioned knowing her, etc. Sooner or later Nicole will find out. Then bad news for him.
