has some details that I would call spurious.

hippogryff, and a sea monster. Curious.

It is he, Ruggiero, who flew

eagle-horseback to where

(It’s that chivalrous thing that knights do.)

His other ride is the earlier version with the donkey behind instead of horse behind. It was a really half-assed ride.

Of course the hawk-horse literally took off, but not so much in sales.

when Eunice said she didn’t have a thing to wear, Horace never thought she meant it literally…

She is showing off her new notatall.

In the sister painting, the creature is a horse in the front and bird tail in the back. Plus, Ruggerio is the one that is nude. Definitely not as interesting as this painting.

Sigh; both ‘human’ characters have the ever-so-common in these paintings teeny-tiny feet; she’s too chunky and WAY too young (it appears) for my taste or approval, and I hope she brought some sun block; but… the hippogriff doesn’t object to her riding – maybe he’s hoping for a vice versa….I dunno.

Don’t bother covering up. When I get to altitude no one will be able to see.

This wasn’t what she had meant when she said she wanted to ride him bareback, but she had to admit that this was rather titillating.
