It’s interesting that the largest rodent (Capybara) can grow to be up to 150# and the second largest rodent is the beaver, which reaches maybe 50#. It’s like the Capy was the last remaining dinosaur rodent.
As a child, I was scarred for life by a nature show. I think it was ‘Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.’ They filmed a capybara entering the waters of the Amazon only to be attacked by a school of piranha. Thanks a heap, Marlin Perkins.
