People keep trying to send texts to my landline. Silly rabbits!

One of my hobbies in NYC was bookstore-browsing. I could find an interesting book and be lost in it for hours!

Miss used book stores. Loved browsing and getting a few of them.

I am happy that both bookstores and AM radio still exist.

My son reads books (not ebooks) voraciously. He’s in his 20s.

In NYC, Shakespeare and Co (bookstore) opened a new location. They’re expanding.

Paper books and ebooks are both books.

Don’t get still listening to broadcast radio, though. I’m so old, I remember when the radio station had MORE music than I had in my house.

I must really be out of touch. I still read hardbound books. My old Magnavox Transistor got dropped one too many times, never to work again.

And I still read comics

I hate to say it, but I’m with Irwin. Though I’ve got a great library, I practically never read from it. Instead, I have a great digital library, too and that’s what I’m likely to read from.

AM radio? C’mon!

I don’t like reading books on a tablet or computer. Bound books are still the best.

I guess I’m an old fuddy-duddy. I still read books.

There was an old character in the Max Headroom show who was always irritated by how everybody he knew was plugged into digital media instead of using books.He asked his younger girlfriend if she even knew what a book was and she answered,“Sure. Its non-volatile information storage.”

I have yet to crack a page when I’ve dropped a printed book I was reading.

I would rather have a physical book than a kindle. I don’t need to worry about batteries dying at the wrong time. Plus, with a library, can get any book I want, read it and give it back.

Did they have “papers” 1500 years ago. Don’t think so, probably listened for News from the Town Crier.

You go Broomy! AM radio is where the good music is. They consign Classical to AM in my area. It’s the only music I can listen to. I have tinnitus and most all modern music sets the ringing in my ears off something fierce.

The American Radio Relay League is making its members pay extra for a hard copy of its magazine. Have you ever tried to flip through the pages with a reader? You have to zoom to read anything and you end up scrolling and scrolling. I don’t think I will renew my membership.

If she wanted to play the age game, she might have mentioned Shortwave or HAM radio.

A good portion of the population never heard of them.

Heard they’re trying to get rid of AM radio ! Does anyone know if that is true ?
