I remember when this strip first ran. It was right after a major power outage through a the northeast and part of the midwest US, and parts of Ontario as well. At one point, a US senator (I think) suggested that the problem originated in Canada, but that was proved false, with the trouble actually starting in the Cleveland area. (this comes up in another strip this week). It lasted between 2 hours and 3 days, depending on where you were. The lack of ink was a parody of the lack of power.

Now that we have daily color comics, are we prepared for future “Pixel Pandemics”?

Amend must have wanted to take it easy that day.

How did Jason called the other comic strips without a phone?

A delightfully surreal assault on the fourth wall, as well as the collective hallucination we call reality.

Jason’s got three lines. Peter has only two.

Okay, Peter, you don’t have to tell the world, so keep it under your hat.

It takes less photons to display black pixels, so maybe we have an over-supply of photons.
