The play is based on a short story, itself based on the radio play, but Christie asked that the story not be published as long as it ran as a play in the West End of London. The short story has still not been published within the UK. Under the contract terms of the play, no film adaptation may be produced until the West End production has been closed for at least six months.

I just found the title to my 2009 Malibu. The insurance company wanted me to sign the back of it and send it to them in case the salvage company needs it for anything. It was interesting reading! I had that car for 9 years and 9 days before hitting that stupid raccoon. In that time, I put almost exactly 99,000 miles on it. I don’t know the exact milage on the Malibu right now. I didn’t think to check when I cleaned the car out. But I think it was 200,300 and some odd miles. Anyway, I went on Autotrader.com to look at cars and I found an Impala that I’m interested in which is (barely) in my price range (they did have a Malibu, but when I asked if it was still available, they said it wasn’t. But the Impala still is). High miles, yes, but my Malibu had over 100,000 miles when I bought it and look how well it served me. I was worried back then that in 5 more years, I’d be car shopping again. And if not for that darn raccoon, that Malibu could have lasted at least another year or two. Or, maybe it wouldn’t have. Maybe the transmission would have gone out. Maybe it was Fate stepping in when I hit that raccoon. Maybe I’m supposed to buy a car this year (never mind that I can’t really afford it). I guess I need to make myself believe that. Maybe it will help me get over my loss. Maybe I’ll get the Impala and love it. I hope so! Fingers crossed! Toes too!

Isn’t Queen Lily too regal to take a night job at a sleepy one night playhouse?

Unbelievable. The show had to shut down for Covid but it is up and running again.

Lily, are you craving mice? I would have thought you’re too highbrow for that!

Yeah, better give that a pass. The title of that play doesn’t sound very rodent-friendly. On another Note, saw two chickadees, four spotted towhees, and two wrens while out walking today.
