He actually entered the doghouse!!

Tomorrow is June 6, 2024 and Peanuts 1977 may be interrupted by the D-Day related strip.

One of the few times I’ve seen Snoopy actually inside his house.

Did Snoopy just go inside his doghouse?

The rain had other ideas…

Reminds me of a Little Audrey cartoon, when Little Audrey tried roasting hot dogs in the house on a rainy day.

good thing the fire is still working in the rain. :D

Nice subtle detail in the drawings, as the fire first grows, then starts to shrink as the rain gets heavier

The Brown family doesn’t mind their dog starting a campfire, of course.

Snoopy has everything else, but no electric grill?

This cartoon is close to my heart. We were suppposed to have a cookout with grilled hotdogs in in an apartment common area one day many years ago, but the rain came pouring down. When my father suggested cooking the hotdogs inside the apartment my little sister let out such a wail that the poor man went out and cooked them over a portable grill in the downpour with an umbrella over his head. The neighbors looked out of their apartment windows in surprise, and we had the rest of the cookout indoors.

The rain’s not putting the fire out?

Cartoon physics.

I, of all coyotes, particularly love cartoon physics.

When the garage was emptier I’d set the grill just outside the garage door, with a work table just inside. Now the table’s under a tarp I stretch out from the side of the garage when grilling, with the grill just outside that.
