Jill, that’s what animals do. My cats rather sleep on a nice sunny day than to run around like a nut.

My two little dogs used to have a doggie door and a big yard with high fences. They would run around and chase mice and pack rats. They love to dig (as long as they stayed out of the flower beds!) The Scruffy One likes to lie in the sun; the Silky One used to dig a big hole in the sandy soil and curl up in it. Being with me must be terribly boring. We all miss our friend.

I hope she stepped in dog poop on the way back to her air-conditioning.

Hard to run and jump on such a short leash.
