No worse than drinking from a lake where all the fish (and birds) poop.

Birds evolved to make use of streams and ponds. They can be truly disgusting in their use of bird-baths, drinking and bathing, then pooing in the same water, or dropping bird seed in it to rot. It’s like they just don’t care.

Local blackbirds wash their scavenged squirrel roadkills in our birdbath. Yuck!

Well, it IS a bird BATH.

“Weirdos. If you’re not a weirdo, scram.”

Almost all the above comments are accurate and true. But it seems birds and squirrels don’t mind and aren’t affected by the ever changing ‘recipe’ in the water bath.

“That’s why they call it a bird BATH not a bird fountain.”

Probably a very thirsty fish who doesn’t mind a little human seasoning.

Which is why my wife changes the water in her birdbath daily

It’s funny because we know birds do a lot worse than sitting in a bird bath!

Why would others want to sit in his bath water???

When my daughter was lifeguard at a pool with a hot tub, she said analysis of the hot tub water found a wide variety of bodily fluids.

Maybe you should go to one that serves Perrier.
