Nice to see Hugh’s wife didn’t throw out his taxidermied ducks.

A big house does not necessarily mean one had a privileged childhood.

And look how she’s put up all these years in a little cracker box house with a tattle tail , a one boy wrecking crew, a snot nosed baby, and an incompetent husband.

His butt’s saved. For now.

Funny how perspective works into these things. Neither of my parents were from great neighborhoods, but from my own childhood interpretations of success I assumed my dad had it better off because he said his parents never cooked and they ate out all the time. Whereas my mom said when they left the countryside and went to McD’s she had to split one meal with the whole family. As I got older and heard more of my dad’s wilder tales, (and my mom saying when she cheered for her team at his high school she was warned not to wear any jewelry) that I might of had it wrong.

My Dad’s “we were so poor” story said supper was my grandmother putting a pot of soup on a chair and the kids circling around it to get a sniff.

My wife grew up in a run downed turn of the century 3 story hotel. They were poor as church mice and definitely were not considered privileged.

Have we seen these grandparents and their house before?

I’ve only checked one side of the matter. It is good to have the weigh-in of an expert.
